Title: Service Engineer
Base: Honiley, Warwickshire
Working Area: UK & Ireland
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30m – 5:30 pm)
Reporting to: Jemtech Sales Manager / Oracle FMS General manager

Job Brief:
This service role will support the day to day operations of Jemtech UK and sister business, Oracle Fluid Managements Systems.
Jemtech is the UK agent for Blaser Swisslube metal working fluids and we pride ourselves not only on the quality of the products we sell offers to its customers but the aftercare we provide.
The role of the Service Engineer will see duties split between Jemtech UK and Oracle FMS. Oracle FMS is a provider of the most advanced metalworking fluid management systems on the market. The systems from Oracle FMS can be found in some of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the UK and the market for Oracle is expanding with the 4th Industrial revolution and digital technologies influencing our industry.

Main Duties:
The main duties of the role will include but are not be restricted to:
- Support the Oracle FMS team during installations of new systems
- Carry out scheduled servicing of Oracle FMS systems
- Monitor the Oracle FMS system status in the field and work with the Oracle FMS team to deliver a pro-active and rapid response to fluid issues
- Perform fluid condition checks at manufacturing locations in the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Northants, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
- Report fluid conditions using the online Oracle Light management system
- Carryout corrective actions to fluid conditions to ensure the customers metalworking fluids are in optimal condition
- Carry out dip slide tests and report the results via the online portal for Oracle users
- Support customers with machine tool sump cleans and refills
- Support the assembly of Oracle FMS technology at the Honiley facility.
- Identify areas for improvements in existing fluid management locations
- Promote the technologies of both Jemtech UK and Oracle FMS when required
- Support exhibitions and technology events within the regional technical partners
- Support the installation of ancillary equipment including; mist extraction systems, coolant delivery systems and coolant mixing systems
- Support the delivery of customer training sessions alongside the Jemtech/Oracle teams

The Person:
This role will offer an opportunity for an engineer who has a good foundation in manufacturing and engineering with the following attributes, skills and qualifications;

Attributes:
- A good understanding of the manufacturing industry, in particular, machining and metal cutting
- A good aptitude for problem solving
- Strong self-management and organisations. This role will require a large portion of time spent working as an individual on the road.
- The ability to prioritise their own daily tasks
- A good communicator in a customer facing business

Qualifications and Skills:
Core
- Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship
- Strong IT skills with general computer skills, including MS office
- Good mechanical skills and use of hand tools
- UK driving license, held for longer than 3 years

Desirable:
- A basic knowledge of electrical systems
- A basic knowledge of PLC programming

The successful candidate for this role will be provided with training and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and ability to perform the duties required. A period of time will be spent with various teams across the UK to provide a foundation knowledge of the business.
The Service Engineer role will include the use of a company vehicle. All IT equipment will be provided as well as corporate workwear and equipment.
**This role may require over night stays within the UK. Advance notice will be given, and expenses are covered by Jemtech UK or Oracle FMS. There will also be the occasional requirement to travel within Europe for training purposes.
